ill x ILL – Abilities

ill x ILL – Abilities

ILL-Abitlties is an “international breakdance crew comprised of ‘ILL-Abled’ dancers.
The concept of an ILL-Ability is to take the ‘dis’ out of ‘disability’ and replace it with ‘ILL’. […]
Each member has an ‘ILL-Ability’ and they’ve been able to adapt themselves to create their own unique style of dancing.”

Break

Break

This is a story about how a local dance and gymnastics instructor helped out a group of break dancers.
I first saw these break dancers while covering a community event in GIlbert, Arizona. They seemed to defy gravity. Once I talked with them they explained how a local gym owner helped them out and it sounded like an interesting story. Everything was shot with a Canon 5dMK2 and a Canon 1Dmk4. I also use a Marantz audio recorder to gather my interviews.

Robert Knoke – TRI▲NGLE

Robert Knoke – TRI▲NGLE

TRIANGLE is a video work done for the book ‘Black Material’ which showcases Robert Knoke’s artwork.
Curator Jens Karlson asked me to make a short animation and get Robert Knoke’s black and white artwork as base for video. I chosed to create tense harmony between geometrical forms and organic movements. Combustion helped me to expand possibilites of Black material with his strong music and sound design.
Thanks to Renascent, Combustion, Jens Karlson, Firat Parlak, Ipek Torun, Mert Kizilay, Omer Kasımoglu also who has voted for this video for Vimeo Awards.
